For me, this means three days a week that I know Nico is 100% out. of. commission.
Serious. When Footballs on, the world stops.
His favorite part of Football season is undoubtedly FANTASY FOOTBALL. However, my favorite part of Football season, is the party part. Every week during Football season we have three excuses to get our friends together, cheer, eat, and DRINK.
Plus…. Football is America’s sport. No one denies this. So what better way to get super American than to throw an American Made Football party?!
So this week I’m sharing how I throw an American Made Football party.
BTW I’m all about no hassle.
So don’t expect to see any 3 hour recipes, tons of trips to the store, or need to go anywhere to get the American Football Party started. Most of this stuff can get delivered right to your door.
You ready? Set? HIKE!
How To Throw An American Made Football Party:
First, lets talk outfits.
I like to get super casual for Football. Shirt, pants/shorts, hat. DONE.
You can wear a jersey, but with three days of football per week, plus days your team isn’t playing, I like to switch it up.
I found this American made Sunday Funday Tee that I’m completely obsessed with. It comes in different colors. Plus you can get a matching one for your man HERE.
The white hat is my latest obsession. It has little diamonds all over it that almost look like a snake skin print. So cute! You can wear it when you work out outside or use it to cover your face from the sun while running errands (Sun damage = THE WORST!!). And how cute is this little Chargers Bolt sticker on my cheek?! You can get them HERE. They make them for every other team as well.
I’m also wearing my absolute favorite pair of black denim by Helmut Lang, a staple in my wardrobe.
The shoes are black hidden wedge sneakers by Converse. I love sneaks with heels! They are casual, but still give me a little extra height. Although, they unfortunately aren’t made in USA. <— RUDE CONVERSE!
You can also pick up this Made in USA NFL tee for your man.
And for the little ones… Get a matching American Made NFL shirt HERE! How adorable??
This is probably the most important aspect of any Football party. Let’s face it, all anyone wants to do when they watch Football is eat and drink.
I like to make it super easy on myself. Nico and I found an amazing meat market called Iowa Meats. They carry locally baked bread, made in USA chips, and tons of local spirits.
Side note: If you’re still shopping at a major grocery stores for your meat, you’re seriously missing out. Finding a local, high quality meat market is a serious game changer. Check out Iowa Meats if you’re in the San Diego area. Otherwise do some research and test out your local meat markets. You won’t be disappointed.
Nico bought Bacon Burgers, guacamole, salsa, tortilla ships, and our fav made in USA potato chips: Kettle Brand — SO GOOD.
Nico makes the most amazing drink with it called a Rye Grin. You guys must try it! See the recipe HERE.
We also picked up some Sculpin, Stone, and a few different Beers from Portland. We only drink made in USA beer. See a full list of made in USA beers HERE.
Sprinkles Cupcakes are DA BOMB! Plus, they deliver. Just order them at least a day in advance and you’re good to go!
Another easy, cute, delicious option is to order cookies that can be delivered to your door!
I personally like Cookies By Design. They can make cookies themed for your favorite Football Team!
Lets get one thing straight. It’s Football, not a baby shower. Don’t go too crazy with decorations, no one wants to feel elegant when they’re watching Football. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get creative and enhance your party space with some Football festive decor.
I hung this distressed American Flag in the back. Super easy, added a bit of character, but its not overwhelming or too cutesy.
And how cute are the cupcake toppers? I ordered them from Simply Fab Chic online. They shipped them right to my house. So easy. Simply Fab Chic will make them for any team theme. So order them now in time for your weekend! The yellow flowers add a pop of color. Every table needs flowers IMHO.
This is another adorable little detail. Get straws in your team’s colors! Chargers are blue and yellow, plus I threw in some pink straws in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can order these straws in literally any color and combination from Cherished Blessings.
