I bought my ticket as soon as I had the $$$ for 2015. This event is a MUST ATTEND for me. I’m even dragging Nico along this year. Totally planning to kill two birds with one stone, aka get my American Made event fix + a little NYC vaca with my man! Perrrfection 🙂
Nico has no idea what he’s in for, this event is literally my absolute fav!! The fact that it’s just a few months away is SO EXCITING.
Last year, I didn’t really know what to expect. I showed up suuppper excited, and my expectations were beyond exceeded.
The whole thing was set up specifically to honor and showcase the people, brands, and products that are made here in the USA. Think giant showroom, products (clothes, food, tech, skin care, literally everything you can imagine) all over the walls and room, + the people and brands behind them right in front of you ready to discuss their journey as an American Maker.
Then there’s an award ceremony! Hand picked brands receive an award for being the best in their specific category. BTW, nominations are currently open.
If you would like to nominate your American Made business to receive an award, CLICK HERE.
Voting starts September 21st.

2. It’s Informative
If you’re a business owner, or trying to start a business in the USA, this event is for you. It’s basically a full blown business training session. You’ll hear from tons of successful brands. You’ll learn how they’ve met goals, overcome challenges, how they plan for the future, It’s literally like business boot camp.
Last year, we were lucky enough to hear from Chief Marketing Officer Peter McGuiness of Chobani ( <— yep, like the giant International greek yogurt company, Chobani), Blake Lively of Gossip Girl and founder of Preserve, Shark Tank Judge Barbara Corcora, and soooo many more.

3. It’s like, ridiculously tasty
Martha Stewart is hosting this event.
Let me say that again. Ahhheeem. MARTHA STEWART is HOSTING this event.
AKA expect everything to be unbelievably, ridiculously, delicious. Last year, I think I gained 5 pounds in a single day. I’m not kidding. The food was INSANE. I’m salivating even thinking about it. Dozens of American food producers of different kinds were there to showcase their products, all of which were Martha Stewart approved! Sooo good.
4. It’s fun
The panels are funny, the cocktail party was lively and great for networking, and you’re in New York City for a few days. Need I say more?? The event is a blast and it’s fun to network with other people that love American and choose to produce here in the homeland.
Oh ya, Martha totally cruises around and talks to people. Last year she even brought out her dogs to say hi and mingle with attendees.
So, will I see you at the 2015 American Made Awards in New York City??
