For me, festival season means STAGECOACH! Nico and I go every year (see last year), it’s a tradition at this point.
Although, for most Southern California natives festival season means one thing and one thing only: COACHELLA.
Yep, I am one of the few SoCal music enthusiasts that hasn’t been to Coachella. Don’t get me wrong I love everything about it, the music, the people, the CLOTHES (Coachella style is on point!)!!!
Here’s the thing: Coachella is always the week before Stagecoach, I don’t have the strength/endurance to go to two music festivals in a row and I hate to admit it but when push comes to shove country music and country vibes are where my heart is.
I hope to make it to a Coachella-like music festival this summer (Lollapalooza) in Chicago so I’ll get my indie/electronic music fix there.
Anyyywayyzzz, I get so excited for spring. Music festival season is honestly so inspiring. Everyone is styled out, wearing super cute desert chic outfits. I don’t want you guys to miss out so I’ve put together a little lookbook of American made festival fav outfits. There’s tons of options, so hopefully there is something for all of you music fest goers in there.
I love the simplicity of this dress. It’s girly and flirty, with an open back so you don’t die in the dessert heat at Coachella/Stagecoach. I personally like to be a bit more covered so I like that this dress is still unique and cute but not totally revealing.
This crop top is so pretty. I love the white lace detailing on the side. Wear whatever you want underneath, it’s meant to be sheer/see through. Don’t wear nothing underneath it though, be classy! Throw on a pair of high waisted blue jean shorts, a necklace, and a rad made in USA leather bag and you’ll look great.
Yep, another Kimono. I can’t help myself. I love this white lace one, I think it’s both elegant and hippie chic. I love the splatter paint denim shorts paired with a crop top, but you could wear anything you want underneath.
Oookaay I swear this is the last Kimono but I mean seriously, this one is amazing. I love versatile clothes, and this Kimono is a staple, wear almost anywhere, kind of piece. Wear it at Coachella, then bring it home (dry clean it, PLEASE) then wear it to a family dinner or on a date with your hubby, it’s gorgeous!
Okay before you get the wrong idea, I am not advocating you wear a bathing suite to a music festival. Actually on the contrary, please don’t be the girl wearing a bathing suite at a music festival. It’s not cute, it’s gross. But I love this top and I love the price: 24 bucks! Pair it with black cut off shorts or a high waisted skirt and you’re good to go!
For a darker, edgy look, This top is so cool! I love the cape look, but it’s cropped in the front so you can still stay cool and show off you’re stomach if you want. High waisted shorts and tons of jewelry and you’re ready to dance the day/night away!
