My New Year’s Eve Festivities + MY 2015 Resolutions!
January 3, 2015
First of all, let me wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I always start my New Year resolutions on January 2nd because well, on the 1st I’m a little tired from all the New Year’s Eve festivities. It’s basically impossible for me to avoid carbs and get to work on Jan 1, aka a little too much champagne, so I give myself the extra day.
Sooo since today is the 2nd I’m ready to start kicking ass and taking names! LOL!
I’m super excited to share my resolutions with you guys, but first I have to tell you what I did on NYE! It was so much fun. Nico and I hosted a lil dinner party at our home with close friends. We had a delicious home cooked meal with tons of alcohol, and played Cards Against Humanity, which if you haven’t played you are SERIOUSLY missing out.
I wore this $22.00 dress from Necessary Clothing with a little black fur vest (vest is not made in USA 🙁 )! Of course, my whole outfit is black so it’s kind of hard to see in this pic. But you can click on the small images under shop the outfit to get a better idea of what I was wearing 🙂

Okay now for the serious part. I don’t like to get too crazy about New Year Resolutions. But the start of a New Year does provide the chance to look back at the last year of your life, see if you’ve accomplished your goals, and set new ones. Reflection is always a positive thing in my book.
My 2015 Resolutions:
1. Take action.
I spent a lot of time mulling over different ideas in 2014. I feel like 2014 was definitely a year of reflection for me. I was figuring out what I wanted to do with business, friendship, etc. By the end of 2014 I was feeling like I’ve reflected enough, I have plans in my mind because I now know exactly what I want. Therefore, 2015 will be the year I take action, put my plans in motion, and go for what I want. Wish me luck!
2. Be more organized.
UGH I say this every year, but maybe 2015 will be different? Especially if I stay true to #1. I can take action and get organized! LOL! One of my biggest downfalls is that I tend to try to keep everything in my head (appointments, to dos, friends’ birthdays, etc) which can make my life pretty chaotic. So my goal for 2015 is to keep myself organized by writing things down.
3. Remember that lifestyle is more important than short term bursts of anything.
This is a big one for me, and it relates to diet, exercise, and just keeping a balanced life over all. Nothing I do extreme ever works. I want to remind myself to keep my steady routine of working out at least 3-4 days per week, eating healthy but also letting myself have the occasional California burrito, and not over or under work myself.
4. Continue to opt for buying American made products over imports.
5. Repeat after me, NO.
As I’m getting older, I’m realizing my time is very precious. I feel like I’m always running around and don’t have enough time for anything! I’m not just talking about time management with work, this actually has to do more with my personal life too. I’ve decided that in 2015 I plan to say no to people a lot. I am going to have to be a bit selfish with my time. As much as I want to, I can’t go to every event anymore or hang out every weekend. I really want to focus on work and the relationships that I know will last a lifetime (family and close friends). So in 2015, my family, close friends, and work, come first.
Any comments on my resolutions? I would definitely appreciate any advice you may have to help me accomplish them.
Plus, I’d love to hear about your 2015 New Year resolutions. Let me know what they are in the comments below.
And please, please, please try to buy more American made this year! Lets all support USA!
