Nico and I are traveling this whole week. We have a friend’s wedding this weekend in Portland so we decided to make a week long trip out of it. We’re starting out in San Francisco, then heading to Portland, Oregon, then driving to Ashland, Oregon.
So for this week I figured I’d share not only what I’ll be wearing thats made in the USA, but also all of the absolutely must visit places we find along the way.
Here we go! Off the SF:
We started in San Francisco.
Nico’s brother Sebi and his girlfriend Carli live there. Sebi is an amazing chef, and Carli is an amazing pastry chef. They are the most adorable foodie duo.
Nico’s other brother Felipe and his wife Jackie came as well!
It was Jackie’s birthday, and Sebi and Carli recently moved to SF so there was tons to celebrate!
Day one in San Francisco I’m wearing Helmut Lang black skinny jeans and the Nasty Gal Make the Cut Sweater. Helmut Lang jeans and leggings are always perfect. I’ve mentioned this before, but I really tend to splurge on staple pieces of my wardrobe. I like to buy a couple pairs of good jeans rather than buy a few less expensive pairs. They tend to last longer so I don’t have to constantly replace them when they stretch out or start to fade.
The nasty gal sweater is perfect for SF. It’s light but warm enough for San Francisco summer wearther. There’s open slits between the body and shoulder of the sweater so it breathes. The slits also make the top super unique.
Our first day was such a blast.
We arrived around noon and went straight for Irish Coffee’s at Buena Vista near Fisherman’s Warf. This place is famous for their Irish Coffee. You absolutely must try a Buena Vista Irish Coffee if you’re in SF.
That’s a lot of Irish Coffee! They are such pros at this place, they apparently make up to 3,000 Irish coffees a day!
I love the street art in San Francisco. It’s literally everywhere and adds so much character to each neighborhood.
The next place on the SF absolutely must visit list is Trick Dog. Seriously such yummy craft cocktails. They actually saw the cubes off of a huge ice block outside for their ice cubes.
We had so much fun at Trick Dog. If you like craft cocktails, here are some other bars you should definitely keep in mind:
