Thanksgiving Festivities: So Thankful for my family
December 4, 2014
I’m still coming down from my Thankgiving rush.
Thanksgiving is just such a great holiday. It forces us to be reminded of all the things we are thankful for.
I personally love that on Thanksgiving I am surrounded by the one thing I am most thankful for: My family.
Nico, Lanya, and I get to spend all day with them on Thanksgiving every year. Our tradition has always been to get everyone together at my Mom and Dad’s house for an early meal around 2pm… or more accurately 3pm — Everyone in my family is always late.
Then we eat leftovers and pie (with homemade whipped cream, YUM!). We just hang out, catch up, and of course drink. Champagne. Lots of it.
I was planning to share all of the pictures from the day with you, but honestly… I was having too much fun to remember to take pictures! Ugh, fail. I guess you’ll just have to imagine the mounds of food we consumed.
However, no worries! There are a ton of pics from the beginning of the day when I was better at paying attention.
How gorgeous is the set up at my mom’s house?!
She is seriously the best entertainer. No one can compete, I swear. Watch out Martha Stewart!
