Polished to Perfection: 10 Nail Polish Made in USA

Having your nails done is the ultimate finishing touch to any look. No matter what you’re wearing, adding a fun design or a pop of color to your nails can totally elevate your vibe. But if you want the best of the best, we’re sticking to American-made products, baddies.

Nail polish is such an easy and effortless way to elevate any look. And let’s be honest… sometimes we don’t have the time, the money, or the energy to go get a mani/pedi from the salon! But, that’s no problem. You can get PERFECTLY polished nails no-sweat right from home.

Here’s the thing, though. Not all nail polishes are created equally. Some are streaky, some are bubbly, some chip within a day, and some smudge as soon as you wash your hands! Anddd do you know what all these crappy polishes have in common? They’re NOT American-made. 🫣

Made in the USA nail polishes aren’t just great for local support and sustainability, they’re also offer the high-quality finish you’ve been looking for with absolutely the best ingredients and safety pratices! Say buh-bye to all that toxic sh*t in other nail polishes. (Ahem.. talking to you, formaldehyde).

It’s time to treat yourself with cleaner, higher-quality, and more eco-friendly nail polishes. That’s exactly why we have a round-up of our fave USA-made nail polish options! Let’s get into it!

USA made nail polishes

Polished to Perfection: 10 Nail Polish Made in USA

Londontown: Perfecting Nail Veil

These are polishes that turn the pigment down, so they can turn the nail conditioning up. This is fantastic for all our girls who have nail damage from acrylics, bad gel jobs, or even poor quality press-ons.

This polish is designed to enhance the natural look of the nails, while delivering strengthening and moisturizing benefits. You still get a little shimmer to your nail, you just also get the benefits of a nail treatment at the same time!

And of course, this formula contains no formaldehyde, phthalates, bisphenol A, you get the gist. Just know you don’t have to worry about all of those toxic ingredients that other polishes have!

OPI: Natural Origin Nail Lacquer

That’s right, baddies, OPI is made in the USA! Hold for applause. If you’ve ever used their products, this comes as no surprise. They’re the best of the best.

We particularly love the “Glowing Places” shade. It gives us that chic chrome look that everyone’s been raging over at the salons, minus the expensive trip and overwhelming toxic fumes.

It lasts up to seven days of wear, utilizes a vegan formula, gets its glitter from farmed eucalyptus trees, and uses plant-based ingredients from nature. Not to mention the long-lasting, high-shine finish. Love love lovveeeee.

Makeup America: Independence Red Nail Polish

Nothing ties an outfit together quite like a classic red nail. Especially when the nail polish is long-lasting and fade resistant!

If red isn’t in your color season, this brand has plenty more options to choose from on their site. All cruelty-free, paraben-free, non-GMO, and suitable for each and every skin tone.

Treat yourself with high-quality nail polish options. You deserve it!

Zoya: Wilson

This shade is to DIEEEE for. It combines blackberry purple tones with shimmering rose gold micro-glitter for a super sexy, deep holographic nail color. It’s, in a word, perfection.

We love this dreamy, shimmery nail color any time of year to add subtle glitz, glam, and drama to an outfit. It features a long-lasting formula for a chip-resistant wear, a 2-coat full coverage formula, and a wider brush so you get that flawless finish.

If you fall in love with this color, they have plenty of other eye-catching options for you to browse, too!

KBShimmer: Out of Sequins Reflective Nail Topper

This is one of our fave options because, not only can you apply it over top of other nail polishes for that perfectly polished finish, but you can also wear it on its own for a neutral, sparkly base!

This polish is a great way to jazz up your look, adding just the perfect amount of allure. It’s 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and doesn’t contain any of those toxic and harmful chemicals. We’re obsessed, to say the least.

I think we can all admit that a neutral nail color is unmatched. If you’re someone embracing that clean girl vibe, this holographic jelly nail polish is perfect for you. It’s a lowkey pink shade, with just the slightest hint of glitter for a feminine touch that companions any look.

nail the look

Essie: Caviar Bar

Another widely popular, widely adored nail polish brand that values manufacturing in the USA toooo the rescue! Essie is a HOTTT commodity. It’s another company whose quality doesn’t miss.

And this stunning dark blue shade, Caviar Bar, is guaranteed to give you that gel mani look, without the harsh UV lamp. It provides up to a 14 day wear, has a gel-like shine, and features an easy application and removal process.

Essie is also a vegan brand, and they feature no animal testing which we LOVE. You get a polish that looks like gel, but removes like a regular polish. We’re sold.

Dear Sundays: No. 10

This is the bubblegum pink polish of our dreams. You know how sometimes a pink is either too light, too purpley, or too neon? This shade gives none of that: it’s perfect.

And, the shade isn’t the only thing we’re fawning over. It has an opaque gloss finish, a long-lasting wear, intense pigmentation, and a professional-grade flat brush for effortless application.

This brand skips out on all those harsh chemicals, and sticks to a non-toxic, cruelty-free, and vegan formula. When you find a product this good, you don’t doubt that it’s American made.

Ella+Mia: Muted Evergreen

This line of polish skips out on 17 different toxic and unnecessary ingredients, some of which being formaldehyde, gluten, parabens, and sulfate. These polishes are also vegan, animal cruelty-free, and of course, made in the USA.

Now that we’ve got the main reasons why we love this brand out of the way, let’s talk polish. These colors are pigmented, dry quickly, and are chip resistant.

For the sake of adding in colors, we picked this Muted Evergreen shade that’s great for the holiday season. But if green isn’t your vibe, look at their site for alllll the different shade options.

SOPHi: Dance Lilac No One’s Watching

This brand was made for girls who are sick of yellow, brittle, and broken nails. Using a water-based formula that’s non-toxic, odorless, and eco-friendly, each of these polishes are 100% free of each and every harsh chemical.

And, because it’s harsh-chemical-free, this polish requires a few extra steps to maintain its chip and scratch resistant guarantee. Just make sure you follow their prime, shine, and seal system! Unless you’re using this on your toes, in which case, you can skip the system.

They’ve also got plenty more stunning, creatively named polishes for you to shop through!

how to make nail polish last longer

How To Make Nail Polish Last Longer

Prep your nails properly.

You know how you have to prep your face before you do makeup? Like… exfoliate, moisturize, prime the whole shabang. Your nails aren’t any different! In order to ensure that your polish is lasting up to its full potential, you haaaave to prep your nail properly.

This includes things like cutting your cuticles, filing your nails, buffing your nails, and even wiping your nails down with alcohol or a nail dehydrator so you get rid of all those oils and residue.

Apply thin coats.

The reason nail polish tends to get goopy, sticky, or sloppy, is because you’re either applying too many coats too quickly, or your coats are way too thick. It’s important to apply thin coats, and to wait for them to dry in between each application!

Use a top coat.

Using a top coat is like sealing the deal on your polish. Or… using setting spray for your makeup! After you give your nails a few minutes to dry, putting on a high-quality top coat is a must for long-lasting and chip-resistant nails. Think of it as a shell for your polish it keeps it durable, strong, and tough.

Use a base coat.

You can use a base coat to help prevent staining, and to create a “sticky” base for your polish to adhere to. It works by moisturizing your nail and providing an even base for your polish. This doesn’t just aid in an even application, it also helps your polish last longer!

Reapply your top coat.

This is another tip that can definitely maintain the longevity of your perfectly polished mani. It may seem inconvenient at first, but you’ll be thanking yourself later on when you don’t have to redo your nails once a week! Reapplying your top coat every few days is the key to success.

Submerge nails in ice water.

This is a newer tip, but it’s actually life-changing. Soaking your freshly painted mani in ice water basically “shocks” the color into place. It helps set the polish fairly quickly, which leads to a quicker drying process. Of course, don’t immediately do these after your last swipe of polish wait just a minute after applying your top-coat!

Which USA-made nail polish are you excited to try out?
