Napa Valley, California

Although probably best-known as a hot spot for wine lovers, Napa Valley is a destination for lovers of all kinds. It’s a popular vacation destination thanks to its stunning views from anywhere in the area, as well as the long list of ways you can pamper yourself during your stay. A number of resorts offer fine dining, golfing, spa treatments, and so much more.

Or, for a truly memorable V-Day you’re guaranteed to NEVER forget, consider hot air ballooning over Napa Valley. Or go for a ride hand in hand on the Napa Valley Wine Train and enjoy fine wine and dining with a breathtaking backdrop. Even in February, the weather is mild enough to enjoy either one. If you want to be totally spoiled, Napa Valley is a great place to go.

And to burn off all those calories (do calories from wine even count, though?) take a walk through downtown Sonoma and stop by one or more of their remarkable art galleries. TBH, even just driving through the gardens and vineyards in Sonoma feels absolutely DREAMY.

Big Sur California

Big Sur California is the perfect Valentine’s Day destination for a more adventurous, outdoorsy duo in need of more adventures. One thing you just CAN’T miss is the so-called “Crowned Jewel of the State Park System.” OK so it might sound lame at first, but hear us out. That “crowned jewel” as they call it, is Point Lobos Natural State Reserve and it is UNREAL how STUNNING the views are there. Just trust us!!!

There’s another thing you totally have to do while in Big Sur: check out Bixby Bridge. You won’t find a better place to snap a pic. It’s the second most photographed bridge after the Golden Gate Bridge!! From there, feel free to explore the rest of what Big Sur has to offer (Pfeiffer Falls anyone!?!).
